Our Simple & Humble Story
Deep inside Tipple Woods, Sir Joseph B. Tippleman found the secret to his own heart.
Crafting only the finest syrups for his nightly cocktail, Tippleman became obsessed with foraging the finest ingredients to fill his jars.
Far in his burrow and well past sundown, Tippleman extracted sugars and oils, fanned syrups with smoke and swished and swirled while he teetered and tippled. Slowly a library of syrups had formed and he had far too many to continue hoarding. His parts and parcels can find their way into your own cups to cheers to your joys and sorrows.

No Really...
With deep roots in the restaurant and bar industry, husband and wife team Joe and MariElena Raya sought out to make the best syrups your drinks could imagine.
The Rayas often handcrafted many of the syrups used in drinks served at their Charleston pre-prohibition era bar, The Gin Joint. With limited bar space and equipment, they realized how difficult is was to prepare or source consistent and quality ingredients. As Joe and MariElena’s business adventures expanded to include Bittermilk, a line of handcrafted cocktail mixers, they acquired the equipment and perfected the processes in order to express flavors from natural raw ingredients to make these syrups.
Created by bartenders, Tippleman’s is a series of intricately made syrups that help bartenders, baristas and others easily introduce more complex flavor characteristics into beverages and promote creativity behind the bar. Made in rather small batches, the finest quality ingredients are sourced and thoughtful techniques are applied to make a syrup that is complex in flavor and simple to use.
